About the event
Historian Becca Smith explores the darker history of medieval woodland in this free afternoon talk. The session looks at Forest Law, wise women and the growing association between isolated forests and witchcraft. It is part of Macclesfield Town Council’s Spooky Saturday programme and is suitable for ages 13 and over. The talk runs from 3pm to 4pm at the Silk Museum, and advance booking is required through the museum’s linked Eventbrite event.
