About Cornershop Coffee
Cornershop Coffee is an independent speciality coffee shop on Chestergate, a handy place to pause while exploring Macclesfield’s town-centre shops. It first opened on Brock Street in September 2023 and moved to its new home at 72B Chestergate in June 2026.
Owner and barista Pete Milne previously worked as a brewer, and brings the same attention to flavour and consistency to his coffee. The drinks menu includes espresso and filter coffee, with decaf and plant-based milk available. There are pastries and sweet bakes to go with your cup, along with lunch options.
The approach is straightforward: well-made coffee in a relaxed, approachable setting. Call in for a takeaway, settle down for a catch-up or take a break between the independent shops along Chestergate. Dogs are welcome, and the café has outdoor seating and free Wi-Fi.
