Macclesfield Visitor Information Centre

Macclesfield Visitor Information Centre has now relocated to Macclesfield Library on Jordan Gate, just a few yards away from their old building new to the town hall. You’ll find the VIC team on the first floor as you walk in to the library at the main reception on the left hand side.

The VIC welcome and help thousands of visitors every Month. Whatever information you need, the friendly and knowledgeable staff are eagerly on hand to help and offer advice. Popular questions include queries about local events, popular places to visit, shop, eat, drink and activities. You can also pick up useful pamphlets, guides and maps covering a multitude of things to do locally and around Cheshire and the North West.

The VIC also have a wonderful shop of artisan gifts made by local businesses, all of which make great keepsakes or gifts. You can also save money on many local ticketed events and attractions for 2025/2026. The VIC stock tickets for local and regional events, saving you paying a booking fee. Tickets include local theatre, football tickets and local festivals.

We high recommend to pop in for a browse and a chat. Macclesfield Visitor Information Centre is a brilliant resource of useful local knowledge for visitor, tourist and Maxonains of course!

Please note opening hours listed are for the library but availability of VIC staff may differ. We will update VIC opening hours when we get confirmation. We have also updated their telephone number, which they share with the library.
