About Macclesfield Northern Light Event
Macclesfield Northern Light Event
The Macclesfield ‘Northern Light’ event is being held on the Saturday 18th January 2024. The FREE event, organised by Macclesfield Town Council is being held at Market Place between 2pm and 6.30pm.
Created to help brighten up our short dark January days, join us for what promises to be a feel good afternoon and evening. This years ‘Northern Light’ event replaces the annual Lantern Parade for 2025, with lineup of fun family entertainment and activities happening in the town centre.
A giant light-up Helter Skelter will lend its glow to Market Place while Cheshire Outdoors keeps everyone warm with their marshmallow-toasting fire pits.
Chris Hickey will entertain with close up magic, before hopping on his unicycle for some LED juggling. Look out for Lobster a la Carte – a fan favourite at the Lantern Parades, watch out for his tail!
R&G’s Beer Vault will be joining in again, offering some winter-warmers for all ages. ArtSpace will be offering some crafting that’ll help guide your way around the dark January evenings.
Make sure you don’t miss Chris Marley who will be putting on his fire show on the hour from 4pm plus a few other surprises to look out for!
Wrap up and put on your best light-up trainers or anything else that’s bright or colourful and we’ll see you in Market Place, Saturday 18th January, 2pm – 6:30pm.
