The Bate Hall in Macclesfield is the oldest public house in the town, dating back to the 15th century. Steeped in history, the public house has been serving locals and visitors for nearly 500 years(as well as a few ghosts according to rumours!).

The family friendly town centre pub was refurbished at the end of 2022. Under new management from May 2023, food isn’t currently being served, however we’re looking forward to seeing a new menu of tasty and traditional tasty pub favourites very soon.

The pub has a warm and friendly atmosphere and a small beer garden, as well as with parking available for patrons. It’s a perfect place for a stop off if you’re shopping in the town or great place to meet friends for a great night out on the town.
