Rewind Festival North 2026

Rewind Festival North 2026 will not be going ahead. Organisers have officially confirmed the news, explaining the financial situation in the UK is making it difficult for the live music industry. Rewind North and Scotland will on sabbatical for 2026, with devoted fans keeping their fingers cross for a return in 2027.

This will be the second year Rewind North fans will misses out on their favourite festival. Over the last decade fans have enjoyed the UK’s biggest line up of 80’s bands and artists. It’s not just all about the music, a big part of the experience is embracing the tradition of wearing 80’s fancy dress, making the festival by far the most fun and friendliest festival in the UK!

Whilst Rewind South will still be taking place in 2026, we hope the organisers bring Rewind back to the North and Scotland in 2027 for at least one more big party!

The coolest man on TV – Shaun Williamson. Yes, star of BBC’s EastEnders – Barry Evans,  is bringing BARRIOKE to Rewind North! Shaun hosts the event with his usual trademark warmth and teasing banter, accompanying participants on stage, creating a riotous, joyous moment that people will never forget. This is the ultimate Insta moment, something people will talk about forever and want to be part of.

Sunday nights will conclude with a fantastic firework display – what better way to end the weekend than with the skies being lit up with a stunning display.

Rewind Festival weekend is not just about who is performing on the main stage. More exciting entertainment includes Disco Inferno which opens up every day at each of the festivals, Silent Disco, funfair rides, kid- zone with entertainment for the little Rewinders, shops & stalls for jewellery, t-shirts, food & drink.

And if you have “the look of love” in your eyes & you want to give your “love plus one” a “little respect’ & fancy tying the knot with your “oh l’amour” in full Rewind Festival style then you can in the Inflatable Church! Yes, the big church of rubbery love is once again rockin’ 80s vibes.

And for those wanting to make a whole weekend of it there’s the general camping area – the perfect place to pitch your tent! Or for those not wanting a night under canvas there are Campervan or caravan pitches and with shower and toilet facilities available within the campsite everything is only ever a short walk away.

Tickets on sale from 9am Friday 27th January from the official website www.rewindfestival.com.
