Tucked away on Church Street in Macclesfield, Pachamama is an independent crystal shop, gift shop and holistic healing space offering something a little different from the usual high street.

Founded by Lois Hallam-Clayton, Pachamama first opened in October 2021 and has grown from a small independent shop into a welcoming space centred around crystals, spiritual gifts, wellbeing and holistic therapies.

The shop has a large and varied collection of crystals and stones, alongside jewellery, candles, incense, tarot and oracle cards, cleansing and ritual products, homeware and unusual gifts. There are plenty of smaller affordable items as well as larger statement crystals and individually chosen pieces, making it a good place to browse if you are looking for an unusual present or something for yourself.

Pachamama also has an online shop, so many of its products can be ordered from home as well as bought from the Church Street store.

Holistic Healing at Pachamama

A big part of Pachamama today is its range of holistic and spiritual healing sessions offered by Lois.

These include Reiki, crystal healing, sound healing and Sacred Energy Healing, along with remote sessions. Pachamama also offers sessions designed for children and animals. Treatments can be booked through the website.

The shop describes itself as both a crystal shop and healing sanctuary, with an emphasis on providing a calm and welcoming place where people can browse, talk, relax and explore their own interest in wellbeing and spirituality.

A Macclesfield Independent

Pachamama has become part of the collection of independent businesses around Church Street and Macclesfield’s historic Castle Quarter.

When Macclesfield Nub News visited the shop during its first year, Pachamama was described as one of Church Street’s “hidden gems”. Owner Lois explained that the business had grown out of a desire to create a friendly and supportive space following the pandemic.

That personal approach still appears to be one of the things customers appreciate most about the business.
