About the event
Folk ballad singer Jennifer Reid performs Chartist songs at the Silk Museum on Saturday 7 November 2026, from 2.30pm to 4pm.
The event connects the Chartist panel in the Macclesfield History Tapestry with the 1839 rally at nearby Park Green. Tapestry creators Becca Smith and Ailsa Holland introduce the performance, coordinated by the New Macclesfield School of Art.
