Chinese New Year 2026 Celebrations

Macclesfield Chinese and Lunar New Year celebrations will be taking place on Saturday 14th February 2026. This years Chinese and Lunar new year celebrates the year of the Horse but more uniquely the Fire House!

The annual Dragon Parade will be taking place at 11am from Castle Street accompanied by drumming from Condundrum, making its way to the United Reform Church on Park Green for a celebration of Chinese food, art, music and culture – running from 12pm until 3pm. Activities will be taking place inside the URC and across the road at the Silk Museum.
