About the event
Celebrate Apple Day at Macclesfield Riverside Park on Sunday 18 October 2026, from 1pm to 3pm. Try apple varieties, including fruit grown in the community orchard, and have a go at pressing apples with the Bollin Valley Partnership rangers.
Finding the orchard
Meet at the community orchard, accessed from Beechwood Mews, Macclesfield, SK10 2SL. From the car park, follow the Bollin Valley Way for approximately 1km to the second footbridge; the orchard is across the river beside that bridge.
Admission is free. Advance registration helps the organisers plan numbers, although drop-ins are welcome. Children must remain with an adult. Wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. The route is graded easy, with partial level or ramped access; ask about specific access needs on 01625 374790.
