2023 Christmas Light Switch On

The 2023 Macclesfield light switch on will be held on Saturday 25th November 2023. The traditional event features a full on day of festivities, from 11am to 5pm. The event is hosted around the big stage on Market Place, next to the Town Hall.

Macclesfield Christmas Lights

The light switch on is the first of the seasons ‘Step Into Christmas’ events, supported by the Macclesfield Town Council. Start to get that festive feeling with singing, live music, stilt-walkers, jugglers and lots more. Bring the kids down to enjoy balloon modelling, face painting, crafts in the Grosvenor Centre and of course the big Father Christmas Parade!

Silk FM will be be hosting the big day, with presenters plus a great line up of live music curated by the organisers of ‘Party In The Pews’. Entertainment starts from 11am with the Macclesfield Youth Brass Band followed by a bumper line up of great music up to 5pm.  Make sure you get there early to get in to the festive spirit.
