Celebrating its ninth year, MaccPride has grown into one of the largest annual community events in Cheshire, welcoming thousands of visitors from across the region. Whether you’re part of the LGBTQ+ community or simply looking for a fantastic day out, MaccPride offers something for everyone. This year’s theme is “Sound and Vision”, celebrating self-expression, creativity, music and visibility while continuing to promote equality, inclusion and acceptance throughout the local community.
The Pride March
The colourful march begins at Christ Church on Great King Street at 12 noon, travelling through the town centre before arriving in Market Place at approximately 12:20pm.
Hundreds of people are expected to take part, with local organisations, charities, schools, businesses and community groups joining residents in a vibrant celebration of diversity.
If you’re planning to drive into town, it’s worth noting that temporary rolling road closures will be in place between 11:45am and 12:45pm, while parts of Market Place and Chestergate will remain closed for much of the day to ensure the safety of participants and visitors.
